We had quite a busy weekend here, and I’m not quite up to blogging speed yet. I’ll be back tomorrow with the dining room, but I thought you might wanna see what we were up to for the 4th.
It was 90 degrees, so it was a no-brainer that we were going to the beach. It’s our favorite place to be!
The water was refreshing, and the waves were just big enough to keep us entertained.
Of course, the dunes always provide their own form of entertainment for my little climbers.
That kid totally thinks my kid is cool. He’s probably thinking, “Wow. I wonder where he got that swimsuit.”
We ended the night with some fireworks….
and fell fast asleep as soon as we got home! I hope you all had a great holiday!

Sounds like a fun day. Those are quite the patriotic bathing suits. I love your son's ribs – both my boys had ribs sticking out like that, at that age too.

hello hot husband 😉 Looks like an IDEAL 4th of July! LOVE the beach.

What a gorgeous beach is it near North Carolina. We have some nice beaches but in the 6 years we lived here I have only been to Wilmington, Kure Beach and Myrtle Beach.
I grew up on Long Island and went to Robert Moses every weekend every summer.
P.S. Great Pics of the Fireworks. Do you moonlight as a photographer? 🙂

Oh that beach looks wonderful. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to fly 4 hours just to get to one…

Aww wow looks great! Wish it was warm enough in Aus right now to go to the beach I miss it in winter!

The beach is so wonderful and sucks you dry, doesn't it? There's nothing better than a shower and sleeping in cool breezes afterward. Absolutely delicious!!!

Love their suits, I have one just like it haha.

What a terrific 4th and the kids are adorable in their patriotic swimsuits! The beach looked wonderful. Our ocean is beautiful but very cold ( San Francisco ) and dangerous for swimming. You have to go north or south to find beaches that don't have strong currents and rip tides.

I *love* the patriotic swimsuits. I had a red, white and blue suit when I was a kid. 😉 My kids have been itching to go to the beach but I have to go on a day when it is NOT 90 degrees.

Those are beautiful pictures! Stunning, really. You must have a great camera to capture your son in mid-air like that and the firework exploding. Wow!

Looks like a fun 4th! So lucky to live near the beach! Are you going to be hosting Show and Share this week? I've added my first ever give-away to my blog and I I've forgotten how to link to it. Can you tell I'm a newbie?Heehee.
Thanks!

wow, looks like everyone had a grreat time @ the lake. Great pictures of everyone except "Where were you?" I love the lake so much. Hope we can all go together when I come to stay. Cool bathing suits too. Are those earrings that Olivia is wearing??? Don't know if I could have survived the 90 degree heat that day. Love
