Well, hello. Ahem. Allow myself to introduce..my..self. My name is Chris! And I’m a blogger! I got into blogging after spending months reading all the inspiration that is found in blogland. I thought to myself, “Self, I can do this. I might have something to offer too!” And so it began...

Thanks for hosting this! I usually link up some craft project, but that just seems so wrong on Veterans Day, given the many hard-core sacrifices that our men and women in uniform have made.

Feel free to link up, Stephanie! It’s not meant to be somber–I just didn’t wanna write some silly post with a bunch of exclamation points. 🙂 It seemed weird.

Hi Chris,
It’s interesting, how different areas of the country view today. I live in the largest military town in the world (Virginia Beach/Norfolk). Our community doesn’t look upon this day necessarily as a sad one. Yes, we reflect and remember those who’ve paid the ultimate sacrifice, but also honor all who are serving. So there’s bbq’s, friends and family gatherings, and tons of “Thank’s for Serving!!” being expressed, lots of hand shakes, hugs, and flags flying on doorsteps. Today is a meaningful celebration of service. 🙂
Thanks so much for hosting!

I feel the same way, Kim. I think my sentence was misinterpreted. I simply didn’t want a post full of “Hey, link up!!!!” and “Show me your projects!!!!!” It was just meant to show simplicity. Thanks for sharing that!
