I’ve just found Pinterest.com so I’m pretty new to blogging. I’ve been perfecting DIY for many years and love hardware stores (old fashioned ones). Would love to come to the Haven Conference in June 2012, but would someone unseasoned at blogging be totally lost?
Just found you! Love the site, your projects , and sense of humor! I am a real newbee to DIY and you have really helped inspire me to JUST DO IT! I have been looking for a dresser to paint. Can you tell me how much you are willing to pay for furniture at the Salvation Army? My local store has old dressers for as high as $200. YIKES! A salesman explained that after 18 days the prices are reduced to 50% and that is as far as it goes. Where do you get your old pieces?
I pay very little at Salvation Army $20 tops? I buy most of my furniture on Craigslist or other family consignment stores. Craigslist is the most successful for me, though. You get the best prices. Good luck!
