Me: It just seems like I had more fall decorations than this.
Husband: You could always use that bin labeled “Thanksgiving” in the garage.
Me: HEH??? Uh…could you go get it please? And could you run?
TWO years ago, I bought this wheat arrangement at Target, and I completely. forgot. about it. It was $39.99. I think I bought it for $9.00. We are talkin’ two years here.
I do remember that I bought it because it tied all my dining room colors together. It validated my use of this difficult color on my walls! And, yes, I’ll pay $9.00 for that any day.
In other news, the countdown has begun! Please don’t forget that NEXT Monday is our “I Can Make That” party! I can NOT wait to see all the things I’m going to have to add to my Christmas projects list.
Please join us! I imagine I’ll be posting at 12:00AM. I’ll confirm and remind again this weekend!

I have the same wheat thingy. I also got it on sale at Target and I love it. I just put it out today and it's one of my favorites!

Ha ha! I did that last year with some ornaments I had bought the previous year at an after Christmas sale. I found them the day after Christmas when I was re-packing a box to make room for my new stuff! I labeled everything this year. : )

The great thing about forgetting about it is it's like buying something new all over and not spending a dime.

Unfortunately, I do this with Christmas gifts also…but the family likes it…gifts whenever I run across them 🙂 Love the wheat and glad you found your decorations!

I love when that happens! It happens to me quite often too b/c I always buy seasonal stuff on clearance and store it away. 🙂

Your fall decoration surprise is lovely. Also I like the scrap paper blocks behind them. What a clever idea. I have so many beautiful sheets that I would love to do that to.
I am curious about the Monday thingy? I must have missed a post or something. I don't have any idea what that is.

I've done that ~ sometimes I'm lucky enough to find it just in time, other times I find it when I'm packing up the stuff that's out. At least yours was labeled! Love your sideboard decor ~ the wheat is very pretty.

First of all, I love the color of the tin holding the wheat. Perfect color and I love the vintage look. So cute.

I really enjoy seeing your design vignettes. Do you really have those fall colors our all year? Or are they just seasonal candles? Love it!

Beautiful! How wonderful that you found it. You're right: it does tie everything in your dining room together. . . well worth $9! Maybe even $10!
Have a wonderful weekend! I'm looking forward to your party, too. I know there are going to be some wonderful entries, and you're doing this early enough that we can take advantage of the great ideas. Thank you!

Ooh! I love finding little surprises in the attic to decorate with. Sometimes having a bad memory is a good thing … it makes life so fun when I rediscover something!

My favorite piece in there would definitely have to be the ribbon! Oh goodness, it's so pretty. I know that's just a small part, but it's really so eye-catching! 😀
